Raquel Richter: mother of three, retired attorney, DONA International trained postpartum doula, home cook, knowledge seeker, problem solver, Texan turned Californian. These phrases help paint a picture of who I am and what’s important in my life. My nickname within my closest friends and family is “Rock” and I like to think that the people I work with come to think of me as their rock as well.
I have so truly enjoyed my parenting journey raising three children. Over the years friends began to see me as a resource to enrich their parenting journeys as well. This got me thinking about our societal shift away from parenting as a village and got me wondering about creating modern parenting villages.
I created RESOLUTION PARENT to take the resources and knowledge I had gained over the years and start creating “villages” to support people along their parenting journey. My mission is to help (newborn/first time) parents build a village that will help transition them into parenthood and support them throughout their journey of parenthood. My goal is to empower everyone on their parenting journey with love, kindness, understanding, education, and experience. I want everyone that I work with to resolve to be the best parent that they can be. I want you to enjoy parenthood. I would love to work with you and watch you thrive, not just survive along your parenting journey.
I say y’all all the time, but I don’t have an accent.
I speak English and Spanish fluently and I understand French, Italian, and Hebrew.
People are surprised that I’m short when they meet me. I’m always told I thought you’d be taller.
I meditate three times a day usually, sometimes more. It helps keep me grounded and gives me clarity.
